Okay, you guys would be knowing quite a bit about this whole affair, at least after the colleges were shut down!
So where do you stand? you think the govt. is right in supporting the cause?? or is it just another political stunt???
In my opinion LTTE is a terrorist organization, fighting for the good of the Tamils or whatever!
Supporting an illegal/terrorist organization in itself is a big crime and our govt. is just doing the same...
I won't be linking this issue to the US intervention in other countries, but still what the TN govt. is trying to get off the whole thing a is 'more votes'.
I don't mean that we aren't concerned about the Tamil's in Srilanka, but they are no longer Indians, their country knows how to take care of their citizens. A reasonable act from our side would be to give valuable suggestions to the Srilankan govt. on this issue. We could make a statement like, "Tamil's who wish to take refuge in India till the war is over are welcome", and we could make talks with the Srilankan govt. to assist those willing to reach motherland during this crisis time.
Well that's just me, express your views...

Yes its not fair to support the organisations which is announced as terrorist group in India.
ReplyDeleteNo one ever made any progress in the terrorist attack in India few months before but they were concerned about other country's problem. at the same time something has to be done to Tamil people living there.

Guys !! its really nice to c u ppl addressing some serious issues... I too agree with barani ... We were not forced to form a human chain to support Al-Quaeda . . we were not asked to pay 100Rs for the naxalite relief fund... but then y are we forced to support ltte?? Its not because we speak the same language (this is clear from the fact that our govt is least bothered about the tamils living in countries like malaysia,singapore ...)

You guys read 'The Hindu' today? Front page picture of LTTE Prabakaran with his so called Colonel and Lieutenant Colonel? God...In my opinion, the press ought to refer to them as terrorists and stop calling them by Ranks. It's just my opinion.
